About Deshur Homes Company

The Deshur Homes Company has served the metropolitan Milwaukee area since 1948, making it the oldest single family building company in the community. We have constructed over 7000 homes during this period, mostly for first and second time homebuyers. Our many floor plans have been fine tuned over the years to make the homes very cost effective. The company was organized by Albert M. Deshur. He was joined in 1968 by his son, Jim, who guides the day to day activities as CEO.

In 1995, Mike Schmitz came on board and currently serves as vice president of construction and general manager. Throughout the years Deshur Homes has emphasized quality construction by using first rate sub-contractors. The subs appreciate the steady work volume and prompt payment and in return deliver excellent work at competitive prices. Many of the sub-contractors are represented by second and even third generation owners.

There are several contractors who count over 40 years of continuous business with our company. They include: Wisconsin Insulation Services, Weiland Drywall Company, Victory Steel Supply, Richco Trusses, Droegkamp Heating, Malkins Carpets and Geis Door Company. Our organization is small, yet very experienced in the art of building quality, affordable homes. We treat our homebuyers like family and provide the service necessary to maintain happy customers.
